Antinero: Forest Protection or Systematic Degradation? Science, Lawsuits & Political Responsibility

The Antinero program was presented as a "shield" against fires. However, behind the title of prevention, there is another case where political management (the Cosa Nostra of 300+1 within the GR Constitution) works to the detriment of Nature and Citizens!

The complaints, the scientific remarks and the results in the field themselves show an illegal and catastrophic image for our Forests, which, in any case, are being burnt every year!!!

All this, following the catastrophic consequences of the "Controlled fires»

Antinero is not a European obligation — it is a Greek choice

It is worth clarifying something that is deliberately blurred: Antinero is not some "European obligation" that applies everywhere. It is a program designed and implemented exclusively in Greece. The European Union is giving the money — but it is not coming to cut down the forests. The choices, the methods and the consequences have a name and are located within the borders.

And before we go straight to the facts... I have a big question... WHY DID THEY CALL IT ANTI-WATER ???

*Nero is the Greek word for water.

The question is rhetorical. We know for the artificial drying up of the planet, the artificial water scarcity, the houses of 50 litres of water a day, and the rest that they have prepared for us... if we do not react IMMEDIATELY!

Bombshell Complaint in the EU: 213 Organizations Report Violation of Law

The extensive 200+ page report was submitted in 2025 to European institutions by 213 organizations, institutions and citizens, denouncing Antinero for:

• Systematic violation of European environmental legislation

• Mismanagement and squandering of European funds

• Circumvention of mandatory environmental audits

• Interventions even in Natura areas without the prescribed procedures

The case is under examination, with requests for:

• Suspension of funding

• Cancellation of the program

• Investigation by European institutions

It is reported that a program funded for the protection of nature ultimately destroys it.

“Clear forest or bare forest?

When prevention is treated with ecological naivety.

In recent years, the public debate on fire protection has been dominated by the word "cleaning". The Antinero program and the application of controlled combustion are promoted as prevention tools. A reduction in fuel is indeed necessary. But the question is different. How much and in what way.

In a Mediterranean pine forest such as the forests of Aleppo and Rough Pine, it is not only the trunks. It is a plant society. That is, an organized symbiosis of species in multiple layers. Upstairs, understories, herbaceous vegetation, rhizosphere.When the understory is removed, function is removed.

The unseen work of shrubs

Shrubs such as holly (Quercus coccifera), arbutus (Arbutus unedo), mastic (Pistacia lentiscus), phillyceum (Phillyrea latifolia:

• They open cracks in solid limestone rocks

• They stabilize the upper soil layers

• They enrich the soil with organic matter

• They create a microclimate for pine tree regeneration

• They participate in mycorrhizal networks

Therefore, shrubs are not "useless vegetation". They are a structural element of durability. Their horizontal removal simplifies the structure. And simplified ecosystems are very vulnerable.

What happens when the understory is removed

• Corrosion is increasing

• Moisture is lost

• Microbial relationships are disturbed

• Natural regeneration is difficult

The result: an exposed forest.

Controlled Fires

Controlled burning can be a tool under certain conditions. But in poor Mediterranean soils:

• Organic matter is lost

• Microbial activity decreases

• Corrosion is increasing

• Plant stocks are running low

When repeated, the complexity of the ecosystem decreases—and with-it resilience.

The critical point

Prevention does not mean stripping. It means targeted intervention with ecological knowledge.

The forest is not a camp for "cleansing". It is a living system.

Resilience or collapse?

Durability is based on:

• In the multilayer structure

• In the cooperation of species

• In the preservation of organic matter

When these are ignored, prevention turns into degradation.

Violation of Law: What is reported

The main complaints are summarized:

Bypass Environmental Controls

Projects without the required Environmental Impact Studies and Strategic Assessments.

Interventions in Natura 2000

Without special studies and public consultation.

Uniform and Unscientific Management

Same treatment for different ecosystems.

Conflict of Interest

The same bodies plan, approve and implement.

Questionable Effectiveness

Areas where the program was implemented were burned extensively.

Constitution and Rights: What is Provided

Article 24 – Environmental Protection

• The protection of the environment is an obligation of the state

• It is the right of every citizen

• Provided for by the Principle of Sustainability

*Conservation of forests, biodiversity, ecosystems, clean air and soil protection for future generations.

• The "living space" of the Citizens is protected

In addition:

• It is forbidden to change the use of forests

• Citizens have the right to remedy justice

European Legislation That Is Being Violated

• Directive 92/43/EEC (Habitats)

• Directive 2009/147/EC (birds)

• Directive 2001/42/EC (strategic environmental assessment)

• Regulation 2018/841 (forestry and climate)

Government Position vs Reality

The Ministry argues that:

• The program is essential for fire prevention

• Based on science

• There is transparency

However, the complaints, the scientific data and the results in the field prove the opposite!!

Incompetence or Conscious Choice?

Where:

• Bypassing the legislation

• Science is ignored

• Questionable practices are funded

• And the results are catastrophic

then the issue is not technical, it is deeply political, and I have already set out all the official data that substantiate that the destruction of Nature is the goal, WORLDWIDE! I also explain where the Constitution takes orders from. Things we should all know before it's too late...

What (we) Citizens Can Do

• Actions to court

• Pressure on European institutions

• Highlighting the issue publicly, on all channels, even private ones on youtube, blogs, etc

• Support for scientific and environmental bodies

Of course, we must do the same for the illegally felled healthy trees in the cities, because they want to impose the smart meters, which must be connected to a 5G network, whose very high frequencies do not penetrate tree trunks.

From the forests... to the lack of food and health

I am also thinking that soon we will not even have access to therapeutic herbs with which we supplement in Holistic Therapy, in pollinators, in honey, beeswax, nor will the production of food be able to continue due to this disaster!!

We’ll be eating Mercosur’s carcinogens imposed by the chief psychiatrist of Germany!!

What Hitler did not achieve; they have done in a few years...

Conclusion

Antinero is not just a forest management program; It is yet another proof that the country does not operate on the basis of:

• of Science (not paid-directed)

• of Legality

• of the Public Interest

and once again, Nature and Citizens are paying the price of a policy that works without control and punishment of those responsible.

And this time, the consequences will not be temporary. They will be irreversible.

Without the Forests it is not possible to survive!!
